Title: My Journey in English during Junior High School

Introduction

During my three years in junior high school, I have emerged from a novice to an intermediate English learner. In this journey, I have faced numerous difficulties, but I have also experienced the great joy of mastering a language. Now that my junior high school education is coming to an end, I would like to reflect on my journey in English.

Challenges I Faced

My journey in English was not an easy one. At the beginning of my junior high school education, I felt like I was staring at a blank page - I did not know where to start. The new vocabulary, grammar structures, and pronunciation seemed overwhelming. Realizing that I was struggling, I tried to find ways to improve my English. Reading books and articles, watching English movies and TV shows, and taking online courses were all strategies I employed. Doing homework, attending classes, and participating in English speaking clubs allowed me to put what I learned to the test. However, the biggest hurdle for me was speaking. I would always hesitate, stumble and make mistakes, and that was not good for my confidence.

The Joy of Progress

Despite the difficulties, I found learning English to be a fascinating and rewarding experience. As I continued to study and practice, slowly but surely, I started to see progress. I no longer felt like a novice — I knew enough to hold a simple conversation. I could read English books and news articles more fluently. Moreover, my scores in English exams increased. The joy of mastering a language cannot be understated, and my confidence grew as I honed my speaking skills.

Conclusion

Within just three years, I went from feeling like a clueless beginner to a confident intermediate learner. It has been an exciting journey, and I couldn't have done it without the support of my teachers, classmates, and family. Just like any other journey, the path to mastering a language is not an easy one; but the sense of accomplishment from the progress made is incomparable. As I prepare to take my English proficiency exam for high school, I am filled with hope and excitement for what's to come.
